Christchurch earthquake
Christchurch has just had a second big earth quake. The earth quake measured 6.3 on the Richter scale and it was estimated to be just five kilometres below the surface, the depth of the September 4th earthquake was measured at 33 kilometres - that's why there is more damage.
The earthquake happened at 12:51pm today (22/02/11) - 75 people have been confirmed dead.
Multiple people have been killed. Many are trapped, hundreds are injured emergency services are overwhelmed. Christchurch has run out of ambulances and now people with four wheel drives have been transporting patients to makeshift hospitals
John Key has confirmed that NZ has accepted help from overseas emergency services.
The whole places is trashed looks like Iraq… Many people are waiting to be rescued, buildings are on fire it’s absolutely crazy.
